at McNeese State University
We offer no-cost confidential business consulting and affordable workshops to new entrepreneurs and existing business owners. We are a one-stop center for assistance in business plan development, market analysis, sources of capital, technology transfer, inventor assistance, and other business related issues.
For more than 20 years, we have served a five-parish area including Allen, Beauregard, Calcasieu, Cameron, and Jefferson Davis.

Consulting with the LSBDC at McNeese was one of Debbie’s first steps in her adventure. With the help of the LSBDC, Debbie fine-tuned her financial projections and wrote a business plan to take to their banker.
Local Partners
The LSBDC at McNeese State University partners with local organizations including economic development agencies, chambers of commerce, municipalities, and other community groups to provide counseling and training to entrepreneurs and small businesses in Southwest Louisiana.
