ULM SBDC helps bring Zaxby's to town

A&M Restaurant Operations

Randall McDonald and business partner Ray Anding of A&M Restaurant Operations wanted to introduce a new restaurant franchise to the Monroe area. However, they weren’t really sure how to gather the research and information needed to do so. They found the LSBDC at ULM and with some work and patience, Zaxby’s was up and running in Monroe.


The LSBDC at ULM helped McDonald and his partner develop a business plan, loan package, and even provided market research to determine the physical location of Zaxby’s.


By the end, not only did the business start, but more than 300 new jobs were created, and 125 jobs retained. 


“Without the help of the LSBDC at ULM we would not have been able to do what we wanted to do. Having this available to us was the best thing for us. They were able to give us more opportunity to grow properly,” McDonald said.
