Business Consultant
Britni Lilley is a Business Consultant with the Small Business Development Center at LSU of Alexandria, where she helps new entrepreneurs and small business owners across Central Louisiana navigate challenges, refine strategies, and grow thriving businesses. With a strong background in strategic communications, Britni brings a unique blend of marketing insight, leadership experience, and community-minded focus to every client interaction.
A graduate of LSUA with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications, Britni previously served as Marketing & Communications Manager at a regional economic development organization, where she developed and executed strategic campaigns to support the organization's mission. Her experience spans nonprofit coordination, small business ownership, and organizational leadership—roles in which she has led award-winning marketing efforts, managed teams, organized high-impact events, and built initiatives that strengthened internal and external engagement.
Britni is deeply invested in the community and serves in several regional leadership roles, including Secretary for the Young Professionals Group and Vice President of Communications for the Public Relations Association of Louisiana - Central Chapter. She was recognized as a 2023 CENLA 4WARD Emerging Leader and has earned multiple honors for integrated communications campaigns.
Originally from Lecompte, Louisiana, Britni has lived and worked in both the U.S. and Canada. She now resides in Central Louisiana with her husband and three children. When she's not championing small businesses, she enjoys time with her family, gardening, art, music, and volunteering in her church and local organizations.
One of her guiding principles comes from Benjamin E. Mays:
“The tragedy of life is often not in our failure, but rather in our complacency; not in our doing too much, but rather in our doing too little; not in our living above our ability, but rather in our living below our capabilities.”
