Heidi Melancon is the Associate State Director of the Louisiana Small Business Development Center (LSBDC) Network. She is responsible for operations and programmatic services for the statewide network and serves as a liaison across the state. She brings over 30 years of experience in management, business development, consulting, and entrepreneurial program development.

Heidi began her career with the LSBDC as a Business Consultant at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2005 and served in multiple positions, including Senior Business Consultant and Trainer. She assumed the leadership role of Center Director, a position she held for eight years. Her consulting and training of new and current business owners spans over 17 years, and her consulting expertise includes strategic planning, business development, financial evaluation, and loan packaging.

She received an MBA and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She currently serves as a Board member of the Opportunity Machine, Lafayette International Center, Lafayette Regional Airport DBE Advisory Board Member, and is a past Board member of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette Alumni Association.
